At ScanOnline.io, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we handle your data, including information received from Google APIs.

1. Data Processing & Storage

Local Processing: For all users, the core scanning and image enhancement logic runs entirely in your browser's JavaScript engine. If you use the tool as a guest, your documents never leave your device.

Cloud Backup: If you choose to log in with Google, we provide the option to save your documents to your private Google Drive account.

2. Google User Data

When you authenticate using Google OAuth, we collect and use the following information:

• Profile Information: We access your Name, Email address, and Profile Picture to create your ScanOnline account and personalize your dashboard.
• Google Drive Access (drive.file): We request permission to access specific files created by ScanOnline.io on your Google Drive. This is used only to save the PDFs you create and to retrieve them for display in your personal dashboard.

3. Limited Use Disclosure

ScanOnline.io's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, we do not use your Google user data to serve advertisements, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties or AI models.

4. Cookies & Analytics

We use basic cookies and local storage to remember your preferences (like language settings) and anonymous analytics to help us improve the tool's performance. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete any document from your dashboard at any time. This will remove the local metadata and the thumbnail from our server. To revoke ScanOnline.io's access to your Google account, you can do so through your Google Security settings or by contacting us.
